ur oil is .. to grease the pan ?? if it is, then of coz can use butter ..

I think my favourite Japanese White Bread from Bread Top (it's Bread Talk but slightly different twist to its name here) has butter in it. That's why it's so soft and fragrant... and greasier than other breads!

Say, if you like butter so much, av, why not try making croissants or flaky pastry?

I don't have the counter space to bake, but someday I'd love to make flaky pastry from scratch! Fold-roll, fold-roll... the best flaky pastries have about a hundred folds. Amazing!

I notice that you all have just been talking about food day in, day out, so my sixth sense been telling me that most of you must have put on quite some weight. Is it a 30s thing or what?

It's a great idea! I heard a friend tell me that with breadmakers, all you do is just put the ingredients into the machine and it does everything for you, is that true? Don't you have to mix the ingredients first? I always thought you have to knead it and THEN throw the dough in...

no need .. if its a normal bread ..

if u add additional stuff like nuts etc .. u just have to add it at a different timing ..

Really?!! How does the machine mix the ingredients then? So it has a dough hook and mixing element inside as well?

no kneading! just toss everything in the right order and let the machine to all the work. throw in the extra ingredients like mixed fruits etc when the machine beeps in the middle of the baking cycle. so easy even I can use one.

there is this blade thingy that attached to the baking pan that spins/mixes the dough

Nothing, I just miss my old friends that's all. I gained weight too so it would be nice to have a belly competition should we meet again.
